Honeybee Doughnuts sticker on a pastry box
Contents are more delicious than you expect.
After our two-hour spa retreat and lunch in Coral Springs, and our stay at a hotel in Fort Lauderdale, we headed back to Miami. But before picking up our toddler from grandma and grandpa’s house, we decided to make a quick stop for a snack at Honeybee Doughnuts.

Doughnut Pit Stop

There was a line, so I read the menu patiently and tried not to drool.
Honey Bee Doughnuts hung on the wall
They serve special doughnuts (not on the menu) that are available only certain days of the week.
It was almost my turn and I noticed that they had two Fruity Pebbles doughnuts left, and I intended on ordering one, but the family ahead of me, took both of them.

So I decided to look away while they were ordering, because my heart just couldn’t handle another doughnut disappointment.

Time to Order

It was my turn to order, and I suddenly had stage fright.
“Hi. What can I get you,” says the polite young man across the display case.
I looked at him wide-eyed and said, “I want to get three doughnuts. Do you recommend any?”
He looked at the selection they had, and said, “Raspberry coulis, for sure. The Honey Caramel and Nutella are good too.”
I nodded, “I’ll take’em.”

Beautiful Doughnuts

Honey Caramel doughnut with a glaze so shiny you can almost see your reflection on it.

Aren’t they just the most beautiful doughnuts you’ve ever laid eyes on?
Anyway, we found a table outside, and got ready to dig into these gorgeous oeuvres d’art.
Picture me holding a plastic fork and knife over a box with three of the most delicious doughnuts you've ever seen inside the box.
Delicacies such as these call for the use of eating implements.
The Raspberry Coulis was light and refreshing. The Honey Caramel was a sweet treat. And the Nutella was rich and chocolaty.

Overall Impressions

After trying each one, I couldn’t decide which was my favorite, but after a few more bites of each, the choice became clear — the Raspberry Coulis won the Most Delicious Doughnut in the Box Award!
Thank you, Honeybee Doughnuts! You make some delightful doughnuts. I’ll be back to try the Fruity Pebbles!
